Biography: Livia Romano (Foglia), 82, of Yonkers, passed on March 9, 2024. Livia was born on September 11,
1941 to Domenico Foglia and Rosa Marra in Serino Province of Avellino, Italy. Livia and her husband
Angelo immigrated to the U.S. In 1969. Livia was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, great
grandmother, and friend. Most of her life in both Italy and America she made her living as a seamstress.
Livia found joy in many things. A big part of her joy stemmed from being with her family. Livia loved
family very much, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She was most happy in her
kitchen being able to cook for her family. She took pride in her Italian roots and enjoyed jarring her
own tomato sauce which was used to make her delicious meals for her family. She also had a quite the
green thumb and spent a good amount of time in her garden harvesting loads of tomatoes and zucchini.
If you showed up to her home and weren`t able to find her inside the next place you`d look would be her
garden. Most summer days she could be found outside with a cup of coffee and spending time with her
friends.
Livia and her husband Angelo had three children; Nunzia (Nancy husband Angelo Rocchio), Giosue
(Josh wife Angie Tellone) and Angelo G (wife Mariaelena Calcagni). Livia had six grandchildren
